Initiatives

These cooperating initiatives share common goals with SEMIC.EU. They are active on the national and international levels.


Initiative Title
CEN
CEN provides voluntary technical standards which promote free trade, safety of workers and consumers, network interoperability, environment protection, exploitation of research and development programmes and public procurement.
DOL
Deutschland Online is Germany's national eGovernment strategy pursued by the federal government, federal-state governments and municipal administrations.
Greek eGIF
The Greek eGovernment Interoperability Framework (eGIF) develops a certification framework for Public Administration Sites and Portals.
IDABC
IDABC is the European Commission's programme for interoperability. SEMIC.EU is a horizontal measure within this programme.
ISA
ISA is a new European Commission programme to improve electronic cooperation among public administrations in EU Member States.
MDC
MDC (Modèle de données communes) is a French workshop for the development of Core Components for the public sector based on the guidelines of the UN/CEFACT and its Core Components Library.
RGI
RGI is a French initiative which is in authority for regulations needed to ensure interoperability within administrative authorities.
SRDA
The State Regional Development Agency (SRDA) is a national regulatory authority promoting regional development.
The Open Group
The Open Group consortium promotes Boundaryless Information Flow™ for enterprises.
TÜRKSAT
TÜRKSAT designs, implements and manages a range of eGovernment measures in Turkey including a central portal.
UN/CEFACT
UN/CEFACT, a United Nations body, encourages collaboration between governments and private business to secure the interoperability for the exchange of information.
W3C
The W3C eGovernment Interest Group aims to improve the use of the Web or other information technologies by governing bodies to interact with their citizenry, between departments and divisions, and between governments themselves.
